A Gambian star, Bubacarr Sanyang is said to be making headlines in the Liberia’s second top flight league.
The 19 years shot stopper is putting Gambia on the African map by performing greatly at Nimba County side, Nimba United in the Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2nd Division League.
Sanyan, having had six appearances for the Mountaineers in the second phase, has conceded three goals for the Liberian 2nd Division side.
“I feel very happy because we have the hope of moving the club to the First Division,” he told FOCUS Sports in an interview.
“I think Nimba United is a fine club. They are in form now, so for a club to defeat them easily it takes time because they put in their all,” he added.
The much experience goal custodian, who has three caps for the Gambian National team (the Scorpions) joined the Mountaineers in the second phase of the ongoing national league but guided the club in five out of six unbeaten runs.
“The Liberian National League is good, but not as compared to that of The Gambia, because I was playing in the first division which indeed was tense,” the Nimba United goalie stressed.
He said there is no man perfect in terms of the officiating of the matches by the referees.
He is encouraging other teammates to stay focused as football is a money making sport.
